Melodifestivalen III

I´m a fan of the clichés but there are limits..or?
Here is Sweden´s latest boycandy Måns Zelmerlöw (from Lund!) with Cara Mia..could it be any more Eurovision? Some 12 year old former idol-star (he´s 20 years old people!) singing popsong with some kind of simple “other language” sentence in the chorus. Bless some things being solid. Måns is a star!

Here we have the second Alcazar boy! Magnus Carlsson with Live Forever.. I am convinced I have heard this beginning before. HEJA MAGNUS!

Tonight I´ll escape from my books to a staffparty at Lunds Nation! People again! I like this "home-exam" phenomenon..You can totally plan your time as you wish, ..so if I want to do the final examquestion during commercial-breaks watching the Oscars and red carpet with Amy from 22.00-06.30, I will! Let´s hope it doesn´t come to that though..

This band is in my cd-player a lot these days, their "Painted by Numbers" video is one of the best I´ve seen:

!Over-night-SNOWKAOS!

These days I live in this castle. It is a study/café-castle full of students. Very charming and one of my favorite places in Lund. Now I have a whole week of "home-exam"..reading lawbooks. The lawtext itself is in either ancient swedish or partly in norweigian (and I quote: “det gäldenär själv ej gälda gitter"?!?!). Wish me luck

The Viking Eiríkur Hauksson Helsinkiin!
I know it is very uncool to be a diary-writer..

If you are a dreamer like me you would also love being Monday-Off in a city. People say Sundays are quiet and relaxing..but come on it gets so hectic and busy when EVERYONE is off.. all the kids, the drama and oblicatory qualitytime. No. Mondays are golden. Then everyone else is being busy somewhere else (work/school) so all the good peaceful nature places in the city are actually just that.
I take my scarf and gloves and get lost in the forrest. (Note that it is impossible to get lost in it actually...since this time of year there are no leaves to limit your horizon.) But anyway. Forrestwalks are perfect for the one who likes to dream away. Daylight is crucial,
or, at least I, get nightmares instead.

This reminds me of my stay in Helsinki.. God, the little innocent was so lost. Far away from the protected Iceland where nothing happens, I felt placed in a city of fear. Well, my fear. But this was only for one day. I never forget that first day, never been so on my own. Took a wrong turn in daylight suburb Helsinki hiding my map.. cause I didnt want to show anyone I was like a tourist on planet earth. An old finnish man came to my Im-so-lost-rescue but my heart was upside down and in theory (I didnt) I ran away. To this day I feel like an idiot.
Helsinki has got to be one of the best cities.. there you can still get lost on your own and feel like you re the only person walking the day. What was it? I got completely facinated by every rock and tree - when it snowed it was like you d never seen snow before! Maybe cause you saw it through the eyes of some other foreigners to whom snow really was only a myth.

My Finland- diaries and full with quotes from people in my life at that time... reading them makes me remember them as they were. Some of my favorites

"I always imagine the woman on the show saying the numbers" – Katarina (on how she picks her lottery numbers)

"I save listening this song for a really bad break-up" – Inari (on Better things w/ Massive Attack)

"You will remember your trip in Finland" – Lydie (lifting a wachingmachine in stairs)

"I dont want to be responsible for an unwanted, with some italian guy, child" – Meintje

"What! Whose is this? This is not mine.." – Monica (drags a sock out of her laundrymachine)

"Think of me tomorrow"– Marlous

"Josef!! Josef!!" – Liesbet (looking for the saxophoneplayer on the Stockholmboat)

"Its not brain surgery – that would be serious" – Anu (on staying cool at the superstressy lunchhour in the Café Engel kitchen)

"Are you staying the whole winter?"- E.T.
- "When you say winter how long is that?" – Drifa
"Well I just have summer and winter..and some days in between;)" – E.T.

"I could be worse, but I dont know how" – Harri (answering the question "how are you?")

Tonight will be the second half of Doctor Zhivago, which the whole corridor is watching while drinking wine and smoking a waterpipe Emma picked up in Morocco. It is like smoking tea!

Melodifestivalen II

Ola Salo (read name backwards, the swedish David Bowie, super charming) and The Ark.. I think we can already by them a Finnair-ticket. Love their Clamour for Glamour.

The Ark - The worrying kind

For the next 2 months I´m living alone again..Marlous took off to Canterbury, where she had a date with a studio of conservation. It´s a great opportunity. Ok, I miss living with her alot but funny enough I´m sure our housemates here (Annie, Emma and Amy) think I´m on the verge of a breakdown cause around the house I´m getting alot of big hugs these days.

On other notes I´m drowning in a course OF LAW!! We are studying civilrights and hotel&restaurant legal matters..and these are no books of joy! Damn small letters and unreadable text. But I´m happy to let you know I´m now an expert in bookkeeping! Just hand me your books and I´ll keep them. God that was a lame joke. I´m sorry.

Monday and waiting for the weekend. Cabaret and bartending. Caliente:)

The Ark= Melody Club??

Stop me already or I´ll be unbearable.... It´s Eurovisionseason and the swedish Melodifestivalen with the following schlagerfever has begun! Year after year..it´s priceless. I´ve managed to hook Emma with me. Best part is of course to drink red wine and give as many comments as possible.. to try keep yourself from crying after some embarrassing performances and/or outfits.
You can always count on the Alcazarboys... Rumour has it that the pants are Armani. We are loving it Andreas.
